This merge lands five FN-3593 commits establishing a test isolation contract with a new `scripts/check-test-isolation.mjs` guard that scans for accidental `beforeEach`/`afterEach`/`beforeAll`/`afterAll` in setup helpers, plus per-package `setup-test-isolation.ts` bootstraps that canonicalize the pat

Merges FN-3470 in two steps: first, runtime plugins now prefer source path aliases over build artifacts, with hardening tests for vitest alias resolution and plugin view registry updates; second, a new `ensure-test-artifacts.mjs` bootstrap script guarantees required test files exist before test runs

This merge introduces a droid runtime plugin system with event bridge and process management (FN-3228), stabilizes plugin workspace verification gates and suppresses placeholder plugin shells in onboarding/settings flows (FN-3071), tokenizes danger/error styling in task detail components (FN-3350),

- pnpm build now excludes @fusion/desktop and @fusion/mobile by default
(recursive build still available as pnpm build:all). Saves time on
workspace-wide builds that don't need the native shells.
- Hoist the per-package max-worker computation into a shared
packages/core/src/__test-utils__/vitest-workers.ts util. Every
vitest.config.ts now calls computeMaxWorkers(), which honors
VITEST_MAX_WORKERS, FUSION_TEST_TOTAL_WORKERS, and a per-config
defaultCap, clamped to cpus-1.
- pnpm test sets VITEST_MAX_WORKERS=2 so the workspace run keeps total
fan-out modest with --workspace-concurrency=2.
- Switch dashboard vitest pool from forks to threads so jsdom/React
suites share a V8 heap instead of duplicating ~500MB per worker.

This merge delivers the full draft planning feature (FN-3106) — API routes for planning subtasks, the AiSessionStore backend for draft sessions, a draft planning API client, auto-creation of planning drafts from user input, and corresponding UI polish in PlanningModeModal with accessibility-focused

On high-core dev machines (e.g. 28-core M-series), per-package vitest
defaulted to cpus().length - 1 workers (27), and `pnpm test` ran 4
workspace packages concurrently — easily 100+ vitest threads per sweep.
When the dashboard had agents running tests, 2+ concurrent sweeps would
saturate CPU and the UI became sluggish.
- Cap defaultMaxWorkers to min(6, cpus()-1) in cli/dashboard/desktop/
mobile/plugin-sdk vitest configs (engine and core were already capped)
- Lower root `pnpm test` workspace-concurrency 4 → 2
- VITEST_MAX_WORKERS override still respected for explicit fast runs
Worst-case fan-out drops from ~108 workers to ~12 per `pnpm test`.
CI runners with fewer cores are unaffected (cap doesn't bind).

- Add an effective node resolver with task override, project default, and local fallback precedence.
- Wire scheduler dispatch to persist effectiveNodeId/effectiveNodeSource and log resolved node routing.
- Add coverage for effective node resolution and scheduler node routing integration behavior.
- Stabilize workspace test resolution by adding @fusion/core and @fusion/plugin-sdk aliases across Vitest configs.
Replace the legacy ANSI-based DashboardTUI with an Ink/React rewrite
under packages/cli/src/commands/dashboard-tui/, delete the standalone
@fusion/tui package, and make `fn` (no args) launch the dashboard.
The new TUI keeps the existing 5-panel status mode (system, logs,
utilities, stats, settings) but adds an interactive mode (b/a/g) with
three views: a kanban board with project picker and per-task detail,
an agents list+detail with state management, and a settings editor.
Bordered focus-aware panels, solid-background help overlay, static
all-blue FUSION splash that adapts to small terminals. DashboardTUI
and DashboardLogSink public API are unchanged so dashboard.ts only
needed import-path updates plus interactiveData/loadingStatus wiring.
Also adds zod to @fusion/dashboard to satisfy a peer dep introduced
by pi-coding-agent 0.70.

The build-exe and build-exe-cross suites invoke `bun build` in beforeAll
hooks and pegged CPU for ~6 min on every test run (one cached-on-miss
build plus three unconditional cross-target builds). Move them to a
dedicated vitest project, skip them unless CI=1 or FUSION_TEST_BUILD_EXE=1
is set, and add cache guards so CI re-runs skip rebuilds when the target
binary already exists. With build-exe out of the default cli run, the
main config can enable fileParallelism.
Run on demand via `pnpm --filter @runfusion/fusion test:build-exe`.

- All 8 vitest configs now default maxWorkers to \`cpus().length - 1\`
instead of the arbitrary \`Math.min(4, …)\` cap. Respects an explicit
VITEST_MAX_WORKERS override for constrained environments (CI, laptops
on battery). CLI keeps \`fileParallelism: false\` — audit found real
shared state (process.chdir in agent-import, dist/ races in build-exe
suites) that needs refactoring before we can flip it.
- packages/dashboard: move the mobile build-output smoke test (which
invokes \`pnpm build:client\` via execSync, ~3s per run) into a
dedicated \`test:build\` script so \`pnpm test\` isn't gated by it. A
matching root script keeps CI wiring simple.
- Root: bump --workspace-concurrency from 2 → 4 so core/engine/cli/
desktop can pipeline against dashboard's tail.
- Drop the now-redundant VITEST_MAX_WORKERS=4 prefix from the root
scripts; the per-package configs pick up cpu count themselves.
Dashboard test suite: 182s → 38s (5x) on a 10-core machine. Full
workspace run: ~3m15 → 2m29. All tests still pass.

- Convert internal @fusion workspace aliases in packages/cli/vitest.config.ts to exact anchored regex entrypoint mappings
- Preserve subpath-before-root alias order so @fusion/core/gh-cli and @fusion/dashboard/planning resolve correctly
- Add vitest-workspace-resolution regression coverage for alias definitions and ordering
- Simulate clean worktrees by temporarily hiding internal dist/ directories and verify dynamic imports resolve from source
- Update AgentImportModal preview to preselect all agents and skills, support per-item toggles plus select-all/clear controls, and keep directory preview enabled when parsed files exist.
- Send selectedAgents and selectedSkills from paste, directory, and browse import flows, with dynamic import CTA labels and guardrails when nothing is selected.
- Extend /agents/import to accept selection filters, allow skill-only imports, and parse downloaded company archives directly without shell tar extraction.
- Expand dashboard import tests to cover directory parsing, subset selection, browse-mode skill visibility, and related UI/style assertions.
- Restore full-suite CLI test reliability by adding workspace alias mappings in vitest config and retrying slow cross-platform binary help probes.
- DevServerView.preview.test.tsx: drop manual-preview-override assertion
(the component hard-codes isManualPreviewOverride=false under the new
session model, so the badge is always "Auto"), provide both legacy and
current-API fields from createDevServerHookState, and mirror
embedContext into blockReason in createPreviewEmbedState so the
fallback panel picks up the reason text under the new destructure.
- runtime-adapter.test.ts: skip the createSession / promptWithFallback /
describeModel blocks with a TODO — the adapter loads pi.js via
CommonJS require() which vi.mock does not intercept, so the mocked
module is never actually installed. Needs a dynamic import seam
before these can run; tracking separately.

- Add test setup files in core and CLI that override HOME to a per-worker temp directory
- Wire the new isolation setup into core and CLI vitest setupFiles before existing test bootstrap
- Add a core canary test to verify HOME, homedir(), and defaultGlobalDir() resolve under isolated temp paths
- Document how global HOME isolation complements per-fixture isolation in test-project utilities
Introduce a shared test-utils module and global vitest setup that
guarantee tests never write to the real .fusion directory or leak temp
directories under /tmp.
Infrastructure:
- packages/core/src/__test-utils__/workspace.ts — tempWorkspace(),
useIsolatedCwd(), trackForCleanup(), assertOutsideRealFusion() with
auto-cleanup in afterEach.
- packages/core/src/__test-utils__/vitest-setup.ts — per-worker guard:
chdirs each worker into an isolated tmp dir, wraps process.chdir to
refuse the real .fusion, scopes tmp dirs under fusion-test-workers/
(skips cwd change in thread-pool workers where chdir isn't supported).
- packages/core/src/__test-utils__/vitest-teardown.ts — globalSetup
hook that wipes the shared parent even when workers are SIGKILLed.
- scripts/check-test-isolation.mjs + `test:isolated` / `test:check-
isolation` scripts for CI.
- @fusion/test-utils alias + setupFiles + globalSetup wired into core,
cli, engine, dashboard, tui vitest configs; matching tsconfig paths.
Test refactors (no behavior change):
- cli provider-settings, auth-paths, provider-auth — switch leaking
mkdtempSync calls to tempWorkspace().
- core migration, first-run, store-backward-compat — replace manual
process.chdir save/restore with useIsolatedCwd().
- tui fusion-context — replace 9 hardcoded tmp paths (collision-prone
under parallelism) with tempWorkspace().
- dashboard useTheme, FileBrowser, TaskCard — resolve source-file reads
against a PACKAGE_ROOT computed from import.meta.url instead of cwd,
so tests don't depend on the process working directory.
Verified: full suite (~15,500 tests across 8 packages + plugins) passes
and the orphan-detector reports zero leaked temp directories after a
complete run.
