Adds a shared, persisted auto-save preference for workspace text-file editing, defaulted to on, surfaced as a toolbar toggle in both the Files modal and right-dock Files view.
- Add useAutoSavePreference hook: persists the fn-file-editor-auto-save localStorage preference, broadcasts same-window changes via a custom event (storage events only reach other documents), and defaults to true.
- Extend useWorkspaceFileEditor with an autoSave flag that debounces (800ms) and triggers save() for a loaded, editable file with real pending changes, keyed by workspace+file+content to avoid re-firing on failed writes.
- Add an Auto-save toggle button to FileEditor's toolbar (autoSaveEnabled/onToggleAutoSave/canToggleAutoSave props), hidden for read-only/preview/binary files.
- Wire the shared preference into FileBrowserModal and DockFilesView, disabling auto-save for binary files in the modal.
- Add fileEditor.autoSave / fileEditor.toggleAutoSave i18n strings and document the new default behavior in docs/dashboard-guide.md.
- Add/extend tests covering the new hook, debounced auto-save behavior, and toolbar toggle wiring across FileEditor, FileBrowserModal, and DockFilesView.

Two engine merger tests created mkdtempSync workspaces directly in tmpdir()
under the tracked `fusion-test-` prefix; under full-suite concurrent load
the post-run check-test-isolation flagged them as leaks. Route both
(`merger-no-op-fix-finalize.test.ts`, `merger-verification-fix-already-on-main.test.ts`)
through FUSION_TEST_WORKER_ROOT like sibling merger tests so they nest
inside the already-tracked worker root.
Bump engine vitest subprocess guard from 60s to 120s and testTimeout to
30s — plain git commands (branch -d, worktree remove) queued behind
system contention during `pnpm -r --workspace-concurrency=2` runs were
timing out. The guard only fires on hangs, so healthy tests pay nothing.
Also bundles in-progress dashboard mobile-breakpoint regex/CSS test
updates and docs index additions.

Modal resize + size persistence
- Extract `useModalResizePersist` hook (ResizeObserver + localStorage),
apply to Files, Git Manager, GitHub Import, Workflow Steps, Automations
(ScheduledTasks), and Settings modals. Each gets `resize: both`, sane
min/max constraints, and a unique storage key.
- Bump default heights so the modals feel less cramped (Git: 92vh,
Workflow/Automation: 80vh, Settings: 80vh / 1100px).
Scrollbar theme
- Add a global `*::-webkit-scrollbar*` + `scrollbar-color` rule in
styles.css so chat, document, system stats, file browser, usage
indicator, etc. inherit the theme. Existing per-component overrides
(.board, .column-body, .settings-sidebar, planning modal) still win.
Document view
- Collapse "Show hidden" toggle and search input onto the same row as
the Project Files / Task Documents segmented control. Stack again
below 768px.
Mailbox / Todos
- Match Todos header treatment to the Mailbox header (typography,
padding, border).
- Add top spacing above Mailbox Inbox/Outbox/Agents tab bar so the
vertical gaps balance.
Settings
- Wider, resizable, persisted Settings modal.
- Project Models description and Authentication panel get proper

Background sessions
- Fix stale "AI N" / planning-icon badge: `handleDeleted` in
`useBackgroundSessions` now writes a tombstone, advances the
timestamp guard, and broadcasts completion so the cross-tab
sync store stops resurrecting the deleted session on the next
merge tick. Added regression test.
- Re-fetch list on SSE reconnect so terminal events fired during a
network blip don't get permanently lost.
System stats
- Refresh button uses correct single class (was getting both `btn`
and `btn-icon`, which conflicted on padding/border).

- Move all co-located *.test.* files into sibling __tests__/ directories so the
layout is consistent across packages (159 renames + content-rewrite moves).
Updates relative imports, vi.mock specifiers, and __dirname/import.meta.url
path resolutions where tests read fixtures from disk.
- Drop tracked tsc-emit alongside engine .ts sources (auth-storage/logger/
skill-resolver/context-limit-detector/pi.{js,d.ts,*.map}). These were
accidentally committed in a merge and the stale pi.js was masking a real
test-mock vs source mismatch (tests imported "../pi.js" and vite preferred
the stale build over pi.ts).
- Add packages/engine/.gitignore to block future src/*.{js,d.ts,map}.
- Refactor plugin pi-module seams (openclaw/paperclip/hermes) to ESM-import
createFnAgent / promptWithFallback / describeModel from @fusion/engine
instead of require()-ing packages/engine/src/pi.js. Adds @fusion/engine to
the two plugin package.jsons that were missing it; exports describeModel
from the engine public API.
- Fix engine test mocks now that they run against current pi.ts: add
ModelRegistry.create static to mocks in pi.test.ts and pi-create-fn-agent
.test.ts; switch three boundary-result toEqual assertions to toMatchObject
so the new content/isError fields don't trip exact-match comparison.
